Hunting

Just spotted Yannick (our farmer neighbour) hunting on our land with his two dogs, not with his shotgun but with a large net on the end of a long pole - now WHAT can he be doing ??!! Watch this space!

Hi everyone.  Cloudy day here.  Catching up on some arty bits.  Thought I would post some photos od bits and bobs I've been making.  The tags are for Carolyn Saxby's super Tag Tuesday challenge which I'm enjoying very much.  Other things just for me! The art buttons I made after watching Julia Smith's tutorial on StrayDreams.blogspot - tfs, Julia!

Bonjour!  Beautiful day here today.  Only problem is that the snakes are coming out to bask and if I have one fear it is snakes!  Have seen two in the last two days - that is two too many!!  However on a nicer note all the veg are flourishing in the potager (I am a potager widow - John is out there from dawn to dusk!!)  and my wild flower garden is budding so hoping for lots of colour soon.  The vines are flourishing in the vinyard and our neighbour Yannick is busy tending to them - very hard work.  I will now share an exciting secret with you - our pool is ordered and work should begin in July - should be swimming in August - yippee!!!!!!!!

At last!

WOW!  Can't believe I've been so long in putting the next post on this blog!  Life has been HECTIC -
Came back to France in Feb after a wonderful holiday in Barbados.  Put house in UK up for sale the day before we left and got a call saying it was sold whilst en route!!  Was back in France for one week and had to go back to England to find another house for the children.  Flew back three days later and had three weeks when we were told our buyer wanted to complete within the week!!  Flew back to England, packed up - two van loads - one for France - one for UK - and moved in 3 days!! I truly didn't know if I was ICI or LA!! Am just beginning to get my feet on the ground.  Hope to rejoin Tag Tuesday next week.  Have opened an etsy shop (MiniTresors) - only one item so far - vintage French postage stamps - great for use in mixed media/altered art projects.  Hope to add more items very soon.  Phew - need another rest!  A bientot.  

WHITE TAG

This is my white tag made for Tag Tuesday this week.  I really love this theme - the others have made such pretty tags.  Mine is made from strips of white fabric, lace and ribbons sewn onto a plain card tag and embellished with pearls, bugle beads and paper flowers edged in diamond stickles.  Am off to Barbados for ten days on Saturday - can't wait to soak up some sun!  Holiday is a present for us from some very kind friends who have a villa there - thanks Eddie and Sue!  When we come back we will be in the UK for a couple of weeks and then return to our house in France.  Longing to get back there!  Once settled in again I intend to get this new blog up and running on a regular basis.  Look forward to seeing you there! xx

Hi everyone.  This tag  was made using interfacing embossed with clear powder, lurex ribbon embellished with stick on pearls and snowflake ribbon pinched from the Christmas tree!  Had limited resources for this one as nearly all my stash is in France!
