La Fête du Muguet
My lovely neighbour, Claudette, has just called round to give me a beautiful bunch of lily of the valley (muguet). This is a French tradition each first of May, when these beautiful flowers are given to friends and loved ones to bring them luck and happiness throughout the coming year. Just love living in France!

Isn't that just the loveliest custom? The muguets have such a delicate scent and they look so sweet. I had bought a little pot with three plants a few days ago. Went to a couple of tiny vide greniers this morning,getting rather wet, but at least before the big thunderstorms hit, and they were selling bunches of them everywhere. Yep, love living in France as well ( part time, lol ).
